Black on Black on Black

AuthorDan A.

For craft beer lovers in Chicago, nothing is more important than Goose Island's annual release of their bourbon barrel aged stout in November. While perhaps a sacrilege to purists, the flavors of oak, vanilla, caramel, and smoke in this year's stout pair perfectly with the nutty and dark chocolate notes imbued by Mr Black - creating a delicious beer cocktail greater than the sum of its individual parts.

  1. I am being told that Goose Island’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout may not be the most readily available in Australia. Can anyone local recommend a good substitute? Goose Island’s BCS is really the gold standard over here for barrel aged beers.
